Panel 3 is partly inspired by this fan art. More precisely, my thoughts were: "Heck yes, Lena would use the opportunity to do some sunbathing! While she lets everyone else do all the hard work."

And what she is holding there is meant to be one of those sun reflector thingies - she is not the GM of a table top roleplaying game. ;-)

I figured this scene was inspired by that fanart...

And no, no, she is now in my headcanon as the GM of a tabletop roleplaying game - one published by ToyCo, of course! :)

I am sure ToyCo would find a way to somehow tie this in with Dragon Ultra VR...
(Augmented reality tabletop RPGs???)

I rather thought one of the first generation masks of DSA, accidently made for 13th year olds.
Bye the way, did you know that Dave Wesley was the true inventor of rpg, although his friends Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson got all the credit as they updated his earlier works? I was lucky enough to interview Wesley some years ago. I am not sure if he was interviewed before, but as far as I know, there weren't any later.

I am afraid, I actually know as much about tabletop RPGs than about vintage cars - which is to say, not very much, at least in comparison to you.
I mean, I heard about Gary Gygax of course.
And I know trivia bits like how the movie E.T. helped popularizing D&D.
And how the precursor to this were miniature war-games.

I was quite into rpg once. I also interviewed Dieter Steinseifer once, who wrote the first german rpg and was probably the very first german gamemaster playing d&d in germany in the 1970ies.

@ Stilldown: old school tabletop gamers unite! :D

Also, thank you for that bit of D&D trivia.

@ Micro: Tabletop gaming is amazing, and sometimes serves as the basis for stories told, sometimes in comic form, years later... ;)

I did write some rules for the german edition of the "Call OF Cthulhu" rpg, too.

@ Stilldown: You did interviews with the game developers, you participated in writing the rules - sounds like you were indeed quite involved back then. That's quite awesome!

@ Prof: Ah yes, I think you have already alluded to the RPG origins of Autumn Bay... That's quite fascinating actually. And I guess that's one reason why the world AB seems so fleshed out to such an extraordinary degree, right?

"Power of Pink"?

More like the power of a 350 horse inboard four stroke engine...

Well, you named the boat! ;-)

Though it is named after something that has that does have quite formidable power...

The boat that is named after the wand! :-D
(Or after it's equally impressive predecessor.)
It's supposed the same boat as in this fan art.
