Hahaha. "...through the steamy woodland..." I have the feeling the godess could be the very one from my favourite dancing song from the first Comus album, hihihi! Careful, little girl!
OK, that required a bit of google-fu here:
Looking up the band Comus, and what their first album was...
--> Aha, it's called First Utterance...
--> Looking up this album's track list...
--> Aha, the song Diana sounds like it could be about about the eponymous goddess...
--> Looking up the lyrics...
--> Bingo, they do indeed contain the phrase "through the steamy woodlands!"
--> And thus, I have found the song! (I like it!)
(It won't be Diana, but Cleo will indeed meet a very forest-y, and perhaps also somewhat creepy goddess...)
Would leave my friend Shub-Niggurath, the goat of the woods. Poor-poor Cleo!
Oh, and here someone made a stop-motion-video to that 1971 song, spank me!
Hmm, this video has a lot of... ensnarling vines. Wait for next page to see why I find that very interesting... ;-)
And while the goddess will probably not be Shub-Niggurath either, she will nevertheless have a small Lovecraftian item with her...
(Also, long ago, I already had a creepy goat entity in my comic...)
This is either the most random Camilla appearance in Cryptida's long and storied history or she's here because someone else she hangs out with is here too...someone who is selling bad apples.
