I laughed out loud at the sheer ridiculousness of a walrus and a cowboy sitting there eating an oyster dinner with Soren. I wonder what good times these "old pals" sit around and reminisce about. :D
The "cowboy" though is actually a carpenter, wearing the traditional clothes of carpenter journeymen here in Germany.
This whole scene is an allusion to the poem The Walrus and the Carpenter, from the book Through the Looking-Glass (the sequel to Alice in Wonderland).
That means I can't take full credit for this page's "sheer ridiculousness", because a part of that was already thought up by Lewis Caroll. ;-)
Haha! :-D
Man, this panel has gotta be a prime example of Early Installment Weirdness in my comic...
(I swear though, I wasn't aware of Wilford the Walrus, least of all back then! Especially evident when you look at the year written on this page: Put online in 2014, but drawn in 2012!)

Also, here is another relevant link!
(I would have loved to link to the version with Peter Ustinov as the Walrus instead, but I couldn't find a clip of it.)
Goo goo g'joob!" ;-D
(I think the as of now latest incarnation of this running gag is here. This time it's none other than Peter who screams!)
(Also, he is a sailor, so a walrus friend kinda makes sense...)
