The chocolate eating chupacabra (here named for the first time) is something like the mascot for our heroes now - a bit like Slimer from the Ghostbusters! ;-)
I was listening to some old episodes of Kerry Cassidy's Project Camelot show (Kerry Cassidy is a conspiracy theorist known for being possibly one of the most gullible people on the planet) and she had this guest on who was explaining that there are ALIEN VELOCIRAPTOR BEINGS just chilling out on Earth pretending to be animatronics at museums and stuff, and that they are mostly benign but will KILL FOR CHOCOLATE, and this was being presented as hard fact.
What I'm saying is that Cryptida is literally a documentary.
Ahh, that makes sense! I figured it was just because chocolate is a POWERFUL motivating force for all life forms universally (I know I'd kill for chocolate, and I'm not even a raptor).

BTW, my original reasoning for the chupacabra-chocolate connection was that both the chupacabra legend and chocolate originate from Mexico...
They're supposed to evoke connotations of red & black warning stripes!
