wait.
how did she get reception that deep underwater in atlantis
edit: upon further consideration i realized I am questioning cell phone reception in a comic that has Diomedian horses, Atlantis, a steampunk airship, various cryptids and teleporters in a modern setting.
What did you use to do?
Pondering minor logic holes in works where fantastical stuff impossible in real life is integral to the setting, or modifying your cell phone?
Pondering minor logical holes while rejoicing in great impossibilities! lol
I only wish I could modify my cell phone. ;) I learned about electronics in my teens, but a nervous system problem makes it hard to plan and to do fiddly work. If not for that, I would have built myself a little wrist-mounted computer around 1990, mostly to show off. XD Well, maybe I would have been too busy if I'd been healthy, and I now realise I didn't have the skills to program it well, but I like to dream.
Now I think about it, an underwater phone is not such a complex idea. Ultrasound works better than radio underwater, so you want a device on the boat to relay between the phone service and ultrasound. I have no idea if it would work though Atlantis's shield, though. :D
My line of thought here was: What Ytterbium will do in the next page requires the others not to interfere. But how does she enforce that? The answer was... surprisingly simple. With a gun!

(I would just assume that the teleporters boost the coverage or something...)
And now Ytterbium shows her true colors.
Dun dun dunnnnnn!!!!!
And yes, as of now Ytterbium is playing with open cards!
