Tarik actually met Spring-heeled Jack in a guest comic once. (Canon or not?? ;-) ) Peter, on the other hand, once had to deal with the Jersey Devil...

Also, you do still remember Dr. Strontium's own elegant private parlour, right?

And bonus points for whoever can guess Tarik's favourite series. ;-)

Yeah, regarding the alt-text, Dr. Strontium needs to seriously upgrade. Cathode ray tubes put out a lot of extraneous radiation that's unhealthy...

We are talking about a man here who's assistant is always wearing lab gloves - stuff like dangerous radiation is kinda his thing!

Heh heh, reminds me of some fun stories from college involving significant amounts of Cadmium... and a nuclear reactor.

That reminds me of the time in high school when we had most of the elements from the left edge of the periodic table, a lot of sinks with taps, and I found myself in the company of this one extremely suggestible student. I couldn't resist! :v

They're the elements which go fizz, pop, and BANG in the presence of water. The BANG was quite satisfying indeed. :D I did feel bad about getting my friend into trouble though.

That sounds fun, but also potentially quite dangerous... 0.o

But they're better for your eyesight in my experience. :( I foolishly ditched my last one about 12 years ago, but it's only in the last couple of months that I've got a really adequate flatscreen. I could have got one before, but you had to buy a special laptop or get a special panel for a laptop, and laptop screens are a bit small.

I think the last time we had a non-flatscreen (TV or computer) in use in our household was... well, quite a while ago!

Ytterbium's new persona is making a big splash in the headlines. What a rebirth!

Tarik's favourite show is non other than... Sherlock!
Microraptor edit delete reply
Microraptor
Ytterbium is back with a bang!

And you guessed correctly! We have already seen that Tarik is quite fascinated by anything concerning Sherlock Holmes - the original stories as well as the most recent incarnations!

I'm sensing some Batman vibes in this chapter.

Also, shout out to the Spring-heeled Jack.

If you want even more Batman vibes, wait for the next page! ;-)

And yep, Spring-heeled Jack! :-) (Who also kinda looks like he could be a superhero - or a super-villain!)

Sounds about right for Sherlock's air schedule!

Yep! (But at least they use the time to make most episodes really damn good!)

....aaand somebody spotted the pop-culture allusion! :-D (Well, one of them - my comic tends to be riddled with those.)

I love the ripple effect of the news here. First our heroes, then our... not-heroes...

If this were a Hollywood movie, the next shot would be a giant screen at the Times Square. ;-D

I wonder if Autumn Bay's Felicia Kingsley would have done a more sympathetic report...
