Gotta say, I'm really enjoying Strontium's little tiara. Adorable!

It was a gift from his henchwoman Niobe. She in turn got it from the internet. ;-)

Gonna assume he also unchambered them too.

Funny how I initially assumed he's got the power of magnetism...

You are referring to the fact that the topmost bullet gets separated from the rest of the ones in the magazine before shooting, right? Yeah, that is a bit of a plot hole I myself caught a bit too late... (I guess it's noticeable that this comic is written by someone who doesn't actually know that much about guns...)
But well, let's see... It will be elaborated upon later that Strontium uses his knowledge in engineering to telekinetically sabotage mechanical stuff, so let's assume that this is how he deals with the bullet in the barrel. He telekinetically jams the trigger mechanism - would that work?

I half expected that people would draw comparisons to the Force users in Star Wars, because of the hand gestures Strontium does, as if he were performing the famous Jedi mind trick. Or to Neo from The Matrix, because he also did telekinetic trickery with bullets while wearing a black trench coat. But honestly, Magneto didn't even occur to me up until now!

Maybe it's company policy to not chamber the first round. Something no self respecting gun owner would ever do. You just gotta pull that slide back after slamming in the mag ;)

Sounds a like a good enough explanation for me! :-D

Like I said, I don't know actually that much about guns.
(It's a good thing that I remembered in time that the actual bullet coming out of the muzzle is basically only the front part of the cartridge, and the rest gets disposed sideways, as seen in panel 4 of the next page - otherwise that would have been really embarrassing...)

I'm a sucker for people with psychic powers. It all started when I played the demo of this game call Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and fell in love with MC's use of psychic abilities. And the theme song got me pumped when playing the game.

In this case, I think you'll enjoy this chapter! :-D

He's a good guy. He's not turning back the bullets in high speed.

And yet, it somehow comes off as more humiliating...
