Quantum computing. (And here is a very nice video, that basically was my source for Clarissa's claims concerning quantum computers.)

And Kanny does still remember very well what happened the last time when Tarik wanted "to play the hero". It didn't really go that well...

I really like Strontium in the penultimate panel. (Event though it's a stark contrast to how grumpy he was back when he first debuted in the comic...) I could really imagine him being played by Christoph Waltz right now. Cultivated villains with "playful" mannerisms seem to be his thing...

Dr. Strontium is not above changing strategy if the old one doesn't work anymore:
His opponents break out weaponry that he can't telekinetically disassemble? No problem, just manipulate the weapons' projectiles instead!
Oh, and they have a vault that is impervious to any telekinetic attack at all? There is a solution to that too! Which is... well, you basically just guessed it! ;-)

I remember reading about the development of quantum processors for computers which would allow them to run 1000's of times faster. I think you couple that with a self learning AI and you've got a problem in your hands.

May well be - but spoiler: The plot of this comic is not about to suddenly turn into that of "2001: A Space Odyssey"... ;-D

Sorry to say, cutie, you found weird friends too. Makers of deadly toys? *shakes head, just shakes head*

The makers of deadly toys are Lena's employers/coworkers, that doesn't (necessarily) make them friends...

Oh I'm just... trying to wind her up, I guess. >;-)
