This chapters epilogue is basically an illustration of my musings in the comment section here:
Even though Tiny Timmy is in fact innocent regarding her brother's assassination (it was apparently actually this guy named Wendell, a henchman of a certain Tona Zehm), she was certainly the police's prime suspect for quite some time, just because she always seems to behave so damn suspicious.
The thing is: In the fan art piece that originally featured Timmy III, I located the headquarter's of Timmy's ToyCo in Autumn Bay (see the Chapel Tower outside the window), so the most logical choice for a cop to investigate there was someone from the ABPD - and Homicide Detective Paige Logan (used here with the kind permission of ProfEtheric) fit the bill quite nicely!
(Detective Logan also appeared once in the Autumn Bay comic proper - at least as far as I know, my knowledge of AB lore unfortunately doesn't include the pre-reboot version...)
Re: Mysteries: The "who" and the "how" have already been vibrantly hinted at, if not shown directly.
The "why" remains to be determined... and while you and I are convinced that Tiny had nothing to do with his death, I'm pretty sure there are a couple people (Detective Logan included) who would question that!
Another train of thought: If Tiny somehow got wind that something was brewing, I wouldn't put it past her to... just let it happen instead of warning her brother...
Or perhaps Tiny is worrying that Detective Logan might accidentally stumble upon other skeletons in her closet that are unrelated to the murder case...
By the time I drew this, lirvilas/Chippewa Ghost already created the first few pages of what would later become Childhood's End. (You know them from my fan art page.) But he didn't decide yet to turn this into a full-fledged stand-alone comic. (At least if I remember correctly.)
