- This scene is an allusion to a very specific scene from the Star trek TOS episode Wink of an Eye.
I would have liked to pull off that one already in Chapter 12 (just with Peter instead of Magnus), but alas, this didn't really fit well into the plot back then.
- Also, I spontaneously canonized the chest from this fan art picture. (I'll need a chest as "prop" later in this chapter.)
- Magnus will meet his future wife and mother of his children during his Paperclip-years. Imagine her as the stereotypical housewife from mid-20th century American suburbia!
Obviously, I threw in this strange side-effect mentioned in panel 3 because I needed the transmuted metal to gain very specific (and plot-related) properties - but I wasn't thinking about structural integrity in particular...
(I guess if you are quick enough to melt down the transmuted object, you can turn it into completely ordinary gold, though.)
*checks the density of lead in comparison to gold *
Yep, that would indeed work a bit better. But unfortunately, it's still not sufficient enough to entirely solve my problem.
What I am going for is a reduction of density after the transmutation, and that one of gold seems to be so ridiculously high...
Oohoo HOOO I'm glad these two are having a fun time!
Although honestly I may be jumping to conclusions, maybe "what we did here all night" was just a very intense game of Monopoly. You never know.
"Seriously, what did you two do in there the whole time!?"
*immediately blushes like a tomato, tries to inconspicuously shove the Monopoly game's cardboard box under the bed*
And that's one fan art that's holding up well with time, much like its subject!

Over 70 years later, will get aaaawwwkward... ;-D
