Ah yes, nothing beats a cosy TV night with tasty food and a show catering to your own demographic...

Phew! That was my longest chapter so far, at least if you don't count the Atlantis two-parter as a single one!

Next update will continue with a little intermezzo, before the next chapter is starting...

Oh, and please check out Childhood's End by Chippewa Ghost and me (but mainly by the former!), a combined Cryptida/Autumn Bay/LIRverse spin-off about Timmy's ToyCo!

Love the subtle texture on the “TV” panels.

All forms of death ray seem a little... obsolete in these days of weaponized memes.

Though I think I am still not quite there, in my search for the perfect "TV screen" effect...

Been there, done that. :p Just with other devices.

Do you refer to the death ray?
Yeah, it can be quite annoying if something you happen to know a thing or two about (via education, occupation, or because it relates to a hobby of yours) gets portrayed wrongly in media! Can strangle the suspension of disbelieve quite a bit!

I've seen technicians in my industry (which sadly(?) isn't charmingly retro death rays) fall over laughing over action movies. :p

Watching TV and eating noodles. Good times, good times.

It demonstrates the contrast between the horrors of WWII and the relative coziness of peace time in the modern day!*

(* At least in the parts of the world were there is peace of course.)

Bwahaha! That last line. I've done more than my share of crazy nitpicking and fan theorizing* in the past, so this was great!

*: My theories were far more intricate than "epileptic trees"! ;)

Keep in mind that Dr. Ytterbium is kind of a super villain herself!
The point here was more: Someone from profession XYZ can immediately tell that the writers and/or actors from a TV show actually have zero clue about said profession.
