Seriously, this suspense is killing me! Which city is it? Gahhhh!!!!!
Hmm... I see an NCC-1701, possibly Sputnik, a golden hand/gauntlet (intriguing one that, for reasons), and... wait... where in the heck did this guy get THAT thing?
It's the city of [REDACTED].
Population: [REDACTED]
Major industries: [REDACTED], [REDACTED] and [REDACTED].
;-D
On to the stuff in the background...
- Yes it's indeed the NCC-1701, no bloody A, B, C, D or E! It's possibly even one of the original filming models...
- An old Soviet satellite, partly damaged.
I wonder though how exactly it did get back to Earth. I mean, if it's orbit simply decayed until gravity finally won, it should now be nothing more than just a lump of molten and re-solidified metal, if it didn't even get completely vaporized during the process of falling.
- The gauntlet is neither this one, nor is it this one.
It's the gauntlet of King Midas. Yes, that King Midas.
It first appeared in this fanart (of uncertain canonicity) that I did. Now I thought it would be fitting to put it next to an item with similar properties...
- And speaking of: Yes, that is indeed the Philosopher's Stone that was last seen in the possession of Captain Camilla... in 1944, that is.
Who knows how many hands it has gone through during the intervening 74 years...
Well, after all it's the most [REDACTED] in all the [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. And let's not forget the [REDACTED]! I just love that one, it's so [REDACTED].
Cryptida: Mental torture for everyone, regardless of age!
Though who knows if the shop owner even told the truth, or simply made something up just to be a sadist...
One positive consequence that this could have though is that later in life this could guild trip motivate Frank to choose a career in disaster relief...
A kid getting burdened with the guilt of (possibly) having doomed an entire city...
Yeah OK, I admit, that part of the story may not be that much lighthearted after all... ;-)
