I remembered halfway through that I have already introduced a shady antiques dealer!
Thus I made those two blood-related now.
(Freder Roseland and the Mayor are both part of Gernsbeck's "mysterious antiques" scene too, but they are more like the customers rather than dealers themselves.)
Also, I guess it should be clear by now who this "pirate lady" is... ;-)
It sounds like one of those stories parents tell their kids to scare them into behaving.
(Step aside Krampus, Bogeyman, et cetera - there is a new player in town!)
Usually Camilla prefers to recruit children herself by convincing them to join her voluntarily. But if someone comes along and makes her a decent offer...
And yeah, Gernsbeck is in serious lack of any decent superheroes...
But funny that you mention Captain Happy...
He may be far away right now, but the path to how these guys will be stopped will indeed have a tangential connection to him...
Sounds cryptic, but all the puzzle pieces for what I mean are already there... ;-)

Somebody really needs to put these two down. It's too bad Ytterbium isn't a superhero anymore. :P
(They are lucky they are not in my comic's town. A certain Captain might not be too Happy about their activities...)

My vote is for the kids to get out of this one on their own power.
The kids will get the help of people with masked identities.
But: Those won't be superheroes...
That being said, speaking of people that need to be put down...
