Most spacesuits seem to be mostly bright white (probably to ensure maximum visibility in the darkness of space). Xenon however is rather an astronaut in black.

Also, I hope my usage of this famous movie quote doesn't come off as all too shoehorned in.

(sexy voice) Sorry to interrupt your recreation, fellows, but it is time for David Rothemd to feed the alien.

Oh, Rothemd will "recreate" something different very soon - something that has to do with his last name...

Ah, okay.
Unfortunately, I never saw this movie. (Thus, if there are any similarities, those are merely coincidental.)

You should. And plenty of 2001 quotations there, and I think at least one remniscence to Forbidden Planet. And the Alien feeding scene is epic, as the pilosophic discussion with the bomb at the end.

Well, I'll keep an eye open for this movie, then. Thanks for the recommendation!

I think the english version is better, though. Don't miss "Silent Running", "Forbidden Planet" , "Robinso Crusoe on mars" and "Planet of Vampires" either. (Guess where "Alien" stole a vital scene of the movie.)

Wow, thanks! Well, now I know what I'll watch later this evening!

Having seen the movie now, I think I can kinda see why you made that association...

Also, the way they are interacting with the artificial intelligences on their ship reminded me a bit of the works of Douglas Adams. I think there was even a bit about talking an intelligent bomb out of detonating, somewhere in one of his books...

Reminds me of the scene from Star Trek 4: the undiscovered country...

Oh, you mean this scene!
As we'll soon see, this will kinda go in the same direction...

I love how Zero-G the tall panel feels!

Thank you!
The whole Zero-G thing gives me the opportunity to go a bit more... experimental with the panels!

I read it as Xenon having a sense of humor. I like him already.

Yeah...
"He" can be quite snarky sometimes... ;-)
