You can read about how Wildebees first met (and fought!) Candy Armstrong in Monaco right over here!

Also, by sheer coincidence, we now have three ladies on this space station of which their respective names have some association with the Moon:
Babette Méliès
Selene Wildebees
Candy Armstrong

The Doodler
I would have missed the movie director reference. :p

It’s really fun to watch the sense of movement and natural poses in this get better and better.

When Babette first appeared, it was a chapter in which I named a bunch of French people after famous scientists (Lamarck, Cuvier), and I chose her name because George Méliès, while not a scientist, was nevertheless an innovator, and because his movies fit Babette's steampunk-theme.
Also (aside from Méliès' own films of course), here is a movie recommendation: Are you aware of Hugo Cabret, wherein Méliès shows up as major character, played by Ben Kingsley?

And last but certainly not least: Thank you for the comment about my art and its improvement! That really makes my day! :-D

Ooooooooooh her.

And Wildebees is (as usual) smacking of hypocrisy when she speaks with contempt about mercenaries.

The intention is to build her up as Selene's personal archenemy...

And I guess if you'd confront Selene with her mercenary hypocrisy, she'd respond that her own case is "completely different", because she is at least loyal to one single employer...
(On a meta-level, Candy not being particularly picky about who she is working for, simply grants me some flexibility for weaving her into stories.)
