Welcome to the new chapter!

Seems like Mira jumped onto masked vigilante train for good now - even though last year she found the thought of that to be "silly"!

Also, with apologies to Stilldown, I know that mariachirockabluesgrass is probably not the most fitting music for Arianes venue - but hey, at least it's neither rap, hip hop or techno, nor are Peter or Emily involved! ;-)
(It seems though that the band made the mistake of letting Will answer, when the question regarding the band name came up during the booking...)

The banana of love?! Why must I think of an important milestone of comic history suddenly?
(The influental comic magacine has no connection to the much later musician except the name, as far as I know.)

Yeah OK, obviously this phrase can be understood in a very inuendo-ish way...
In my defense, I just wanted a reference to the band the characters from Awkward Paws KICKS had ages ago, so looked it up because I didn't remember said band's name - and then I found that Will's misnomer La Banana del Amor simply sounds way more interesting (and hilarious) than their actual name La Banda del Amor...

What have you done. Now I suddenly see Ariane replacing Anita (the Peels version) singing "Juanita Banana". (Ariane would kill me probably if I make her sing that novelty song, but it might be a plot oneday.)

Once again, I had to google what you are referring to. (I guess it's this, right?)
However, when it comes to fruit-themed singers of yesteryear, a name I do already know is... Carmen Miranda!

Yes, there are countless coverversions of that song until today, but the Peels were the first. I could only imagine that Ariane has to sing that song as punishment...
All that banana business was probably started by Josephine Baker in the 1920ies. It is somehow weird that her original banana stage costume was very ....censored... in that late 1990ies Chicita commercial where a look-alike actress mimicked her act.

Though at the very least Faustus seems to be someone who also knows and appreciates a lot of interesting music from the `60s and earlier.
(Because he lives in the '60s, and on top of that works in a record shop!)
