If there is anything that I learned from dabbling in 3D design, it's that the reusing of assets is a perfectly legitimate art technique.
In this vein, I here recycled the ship I drew for the 2019 Halloween Crossover Exchange.
Also, maybe you remember Cleo's friend Dora, who debuted in Chapter 18 and impressed Kanny with her photography skills even back then...
Here I had to spontaneous pull a surname for her and her parents out of the hat, and thus my mind went to photographer Helmut Newton, whose birth name was Neustädter.
As a small concession to the virus-related "interesting times" in which we are living right now, the things around the characters' necks are masks.
(Though part of my motivation was that they may be an adequately creepy addition to the outfit of the villains who'll appear later in this story...)
Dora may be a brainy blonde with glasses too, but such a Maggie Ashton method for hunting cryptids is rather something Lena Santorini might come up with...
(Who, though also blonde, wouldn't be caught dead wearing any glasses except sunglasses. We'll get to Lena very soon, and incidentally, her plan in this story could indeed be kinda sorta be described as "fishing for cryptids"...)
And at long last, I am finally caught up. Now instead of getting to read a chapter at a time, I have to be patient and wait for updates!
In all seriousness though, congratulations on creating a comic that has been running for several years and has reached 500+ pages. I hope one day I can get that far with my comic. I've enjoyed reading Cryptida, and I look forward to seeing what you've got planned for future storylines.

As mentioned earlier, they were following a lead to the Rhine river - and certain parts of the Rhine are famous for their many castles along the river bank...
