Because I liked how the female cultist in this picture turned out, I decided to give her a bit of a larger role. (And a first name!)
In-universe though Lena may have gotten the idea to have a personal assistant of her own by observing Bettina Timmy and Jane Doyle...
You know, I noticed halfway through that people might make that association, which made me kinda worried, because obviously I don't want my comic to be misinterpreted as antisemitic!
But I figured that the shape shown here is far enough removed from a menorah, because in a menorah, the side-candlesticks are all directly protruding from the middle one, which gives it a very distinctive look.
But now it seems that this here isn't far removed enough... :-(
I could just have turned the whole thing upside down - but the slope of the riverbank plays a role here too, so this side needed to be the downside!!
OK, modified the shape so that it (hopefully!*) now looks significantly less like a menorah, while still being able to fulfill the purpose it is supposed to have later in the story.
(Now it reminds me rather of the cross-section of a flower...)
* For the record, the reason why this worries me so much that I outright retconned the page here, is because I find that the association of a Jewish religious symbol with Starry Wisdom of all people would have very unfortunate implications...

You know, for a long time I hesitated reading Lovecraft precisely because of his racism-related notoriety...
...and what eventually let to me succumbing to my curiosity and actually buying some books containing Lovecraft's stories were fellow ComicFurians like Prof and MistakenPotatoes heavily referencing his work.
BTW, I think I once mentioned in an earlier comment that I find the YouTube videos by Overly Sarcastic Productions to be just hilarious - and their take on Lovecraft's oeuvre (where they do indeed also discuss his xenophobia and the impact it had on his work) is no exception!
Funny how these "yes sir three bags full" groups all seem to attract boot-lickers who are either too incompetent to work anywhere else or secretly driving their own twisted agenda. Trump 2020!
Oh, Lena has some kind of a multiple stage plan here, for obtaining something very specific for her personal use Starry Wisdom - and "The End Of The World As We Know It" would only complicate matters too much for her...
