Upon looking what I can quickly find on Youtube, perhaps this or this would be more appropriate?
Or this song about Smaug? (Which is not of the metal genre, but I knew it already.)
I wouldn't be surprised though if Stilldown easily were able to shake a few obscure dragon-themed metal songs out of his sleeve...
Difficult, as I don't hear metal as proto-doomer... But theres a very late (rather much to late for the genre, but still has the right sound) protodoom band called Dragon.
Considering that they are extinct, it's no wonder that you have never seen- yeah yeah OK, just kidding. :-D
The fossil only got described in 2015, so that explains why this one is not to be found in ye olde dinosaur books from many people's childhood.
BTW, another reason why Yi qi is so awesome is that it evolved an anatomy that coincidentally* comes close to the concept of a wyvern (a winged dragon with four limbs instead of an additional pair of legs).
* Except perhaps if the Medieval people were aware of similar fossils, but there is currently no evidence for this.
If this were a movie, I could see this scene where the lindworm spreads its wings and rises up into the air above the town being pretty epic...like in a Godzilla movie or Pacific Rim when one of the kaiju shows up.
this is so metal
Ironically, the diegetic music in this scene are Emily's very un-metal tunes...

Await the following pages for more epic dragon action!! :-D
I guess I should have designed a four winged and feathered dragon for going full meta here... :-D
