With the start of this Halloween chapter, I am introducing a new building to Gernsbeck's skyline: The city's museum for natural history, ethnography... and whatever else future plots may demand! ;-)

Many readers may already know the country of Macrobiana from Playground - though I got the name from from Herodotus.

Also, it seems that the stone tablet that Cleo is holding is evidence that the precolonial Macrobians already had contact with Fantomah! ;-D

Next page he'll elaborate more on this - and how his medium sad might turn into a big sad pretty quickly...

Oh, he definitely needs some cheering up!
Soon we'll learn why...

Pfffft, if it is about that Nicole B. Wegner imitator advertizing stinking-stinking pokeponies, I will cure him of that decease soon.

Oh, it's not the advertising itself that Peter has an issue with. (Emily could just as well advertise, uh... airships or something, for all he cares. ;-) )
But it has indeed something to do with something that comes along with said advertising gig...

Did the Macrobians spread across the planet like a big virus?

Microraptor
Haha! :-D
Perhaps I should have named them Coronians or Covidians or something...
Also that reminds me of Bacteria, the stand-in for Italy in The Great Dictator...

Fun fact:
I almost named the country Blemmya, after another legendary people the ancient Greek cartographers wrote about, because, frankly, that is indeed the better name.
But they described the Macrobians as the "tallest and handsomest of all men", while they imagined the Blemmyes to be looking, well... like this!

I bet corners of the internet where Macrobian, Blemmyan and Koganan issues get discussed inevitably devolve into nationalistic mudslinging pretty quickly...
