Did you really think I would writing a time travel story without even just doing a detour to the Age of Dinosaurs!? ;-)

Emerald sent Ruby-Ann specifically to the time and place of which we can find the fossil evidence from in the Hell Creek formation.
Back then the western part of North America formed its own island continent, namely Laramidia.

What did that crazy-crazy Professor sing in that old german children television show? (Now, not that one, pffffft.)
"Schön war die Kreiiiiidezeit, die kommt nicht wieder..."

Hmmm...
I am only aware of the poem Der Ichthyosaurus by Joseph Victor Scheffel...

An excerpt:
"Es starb zu derselbigen Stunde
Die ganze Saurierei,
Sie kamen zu tief in die Kreide,
Da war es natürlich vorbei."

And a very quick, rough sketch from the frightening depths of the multiverse, where Peter and his new crush are going on adventure in a very different theatre... And an accordion playing in the background, preparing for a song coming up.

(Suttung as marionette-sized model would be kinda... cute?)

The Natural History Museum of London published a book on dinosaurs in the 1960s which included this poem which seems a little more cheerful than the one you quoted. https://mxplx.com/meme/617/

That one is interesting too!

Here is another (very short) poem, that I heard about loooong ago in this dinosaur documentary:

"Crowned heads of Europe
All make a royal fuss
Over Uncle Andy
And his old diplodocus."

("Uncle Andy" was industrialist Andrew Carnegie, who put philanthropic efforts into paleontology, and after whom the dinosaur species Diplodocus carnegii got named.)
