While Cryptida has crossed over with ProfEtheric's and SarahSophia's comic Autumn Bay before, this new chapter may be the most extensive (non-spin off) instance so far.
As such, there will be quite an amount of what lirvilas once called "heavy contextual density". I will however put an effort to make this story also understandable and above all entertaining for those less familiar with Autumn Bay and other adjacent works - and I will also provide a lot of explanatory links in the author comments. If this leads any of you down the proverbial rabbit hole, the better! ;-D
Also, I hope nobody minds that I this is the second chapter in a row which is focusing on a side character rather than any of the main cast. Though at least I will stay true to my comic's alleged premise this time, for there will be a creature that can be described as a cryptid!
Oooh, interestingly, I originally wrote "near the East Coast" - but then Taily said that the term "East Coast" means the coastal states rather than just the literal coastline.
(Taily herself is from the West Coast, if I'm not mistaken.)
Man, AB is upstate! It has more in common with Cleveland than with the City! And I'll loudly explain that to any left coasters who wander into my rifle range!
(OK, I'll stop it with my parochial hangups over place...)
If Madame Becquerel joins a show with that name without even doing some research, she certainly deserves her fate... but I am sure the audience was very pleased.
Hey, just because the brand is called Trickster doesn't mean - although on the other hand...
Hmmm...
Could it be that, as a publicity stunt, the Trickster people deliberately rigged Madame Becquerel's bikini top to get loose, without telling her anything about it...?
(Also, fun fact: Before settling for Alvery, I indeed briefly considered Perverto to be the one who wrote the "She's hot!" comment beneath Emily's video.)
My thought was that it's canonically verifiable that Alvery is attracted to raven-haired girls, after all! :-)
(Thanks for adding them to the Cameo Archive! you're quick!)
I decided to split these into several PMs though, since there's a lot of crossoverly stuff to wade through!
Await the next one... some time this week.
And I must suddenly think of a television show I tried to forget. Purrrr, shoggoth-poo.
Though come on now, Quantum Cat wasn't that... bad...
Yeah OK, I think I begin to see your point...
Midwesterners would, however.
(KC, any thoughts?)
(Taily herself is from the West Coast, if I'm not mistaken.)
This whole discussion now gave me an idea for later in the story...
(OK, I'll stop it with my parochial hangups over place...)
The old "my character did the mistake, not me" face-saver.Hmmm...

Man, I keep thinking of reviving the "Retro Video Game Reviews", but just don't have the time.
(Though now I wonder how Charlotte found the time to review Scimitar Online, with her now having two toddlers and all! ;-D )
I had a to of fun doing this page! :-)
