Meet Lora Disuore, our deuteragonist for this chapter, juuuust in time before the end of Mermay! (Didn't I promise a cryptid? ;-) )
She's one of the mermaids of the Sisterhood, meaning she can switch between fish tail and human legs at will.
I wonder though what those worries are that she's talking about...? ;-)

(My music recommendation for the first panel. Or perhaps this one would be more adequate?)

Unfortunately you can't see the distinctive looking underside, but it's a rubber toy version of the greater boat duck! ;-D

Something tells me that an aquatic roommate is not the weirdest thing in Autumn Bay.

Exactly my thought!
If you're a supernatural being seeking to gain a foothold (flipperhold?) in human society, Autumn Bay is certainly an excellent choice for trying that out!
(As real life equivalent, think about how some cities have a specifically good reputation amongst the LGBT+ community.)

For a second in the second panel, I thought she had a hermetically sealed shower.

Edit: Now I see what I thought was the second panel is actually part of the first panel.

Haha! Nope, it's just the bathroom door! (That would be a very spacious shower!)

With this door I'm continuing the design aesthetic that I started with Emily's computer. (Which in turn was inspired by the look of the early iMacs.)

Oooh, think I see what you mean!
Well, a hermitically sealed shower, filled to the brim with water, that would basically be... an aquarium!

Well, it certainly looked "fishy"!

Today is the Day of the "Fishy" Comment, it seems! ;-D

I swear, the fact that argyle and me run fish-themed pages at about the same time is just a coincidence!
An actual collaboration between us soon to come though... ;-)
