Mira and Traudi have been friends since they slayed a dragon together, and now they're spending a day at a shopping era in Gernsbeck called the Alpha-Ralpha-Ring.
(That antiques store is the same in which Peter bought his guitar, BTW.)
Kudos to Stilldown for creating the 3D model of the Alpha-Ralpha-Ring, on which the backgrounds in this and the two following pages is based upon!
Ethel Meyerlink was also originally thought up by Stilldown... And is a harpy!
Ariane Eldar brought her along upon escaping the world of Oblivion's Gate.
(Her friendship to Ariane might explain why she chose to hang up this movie poster in her Egg-Imbiss shack...)

Announcement:
Starting today, the update schedule will switch to three pages per week again!
Ethel arrived just in time - very helpful to have an extra set of wings. And it seems that our cryptid hunters are very serious about their lunch break. "Harpy, what harpy? I am not on duty right now."
Well, Mira is looking in the wrong direction to notice anything, and Traudi is "just" the secretary, she couldn't care less! (It would only mean more paperwork for her...)
The credit for the background for the most part goes to Stilldown's 3D renderings, plus one panel from my print copy of his current story. (That particular page isn't online yet.)
I merely chose the colors!
Also, Ethel will have another small cameo by the end of this month.
However, in-universe this would be just a few day later than this page - thus no timeline conflict, even if she reappears in Grinder$ already before that!
I didn't expect that Ethel would become so popular, she started as on of the "30 character" challenges. And I still have no idea how her kind of hairdo is called in german. At least I found out it is a spiky bob in english.
This chapter consists out of several different smaller plot threads that will (more or less) converge in the end.
This is the start of another one of them.
(And the last one hasn't even been introduced yet!)
yes yes, I'm going to steal Ethel... I'm glad I didn't yet

This looks to be an interesting development.
