Turns out she was!
And even if this weren't the case, Mira was (as she points out in panel 2) aware of Ytterbium when she was another university employer.
Also, since I have three of my characters named after chemical elements in this chapter, and two of them have something asymmetrical with their eyes going on, I decided to give Ytterbium this new eyepiece! ;-D

Ironically, Mira is way more of a "Karen" than a certain other character she'll meet later in this chapter...
Unfortunately, Mira's words have made Ytterbium more susceptible to the temptations of... well, you'll see in the following pages! ;-)
