Even though I usually try to avoid the trope of the Omnidisciplinary Scientist, we have known that Dr. Ytterbium is also proficient in genetic engineering since Beowolf. (Or... even much earlier...)

The man we see PhD student Alexandra talking to about that certain genetic engineering project is another one of Mbuni's henchmen, General Von Hayek. They're at the Philantomba Ostrich Emporium, shortly before it got renamed into Breeding Facility 001.

But what might that gift be...?

Oh, the gift is not a Trojan ostrich horse.
(I mean, there have already been enough horses in this chapter.)
What I'm saying is, the gift is perfectly fine!

In the same way a fat juicy worm on a fishing hook is technically "perfectly fine"...
