And here we have the biology teacher Hilde Doyle, the mom of Jade and the wife of Jerry Doyle - she's thus just a Doyle by marriage, and probably has a very German sounding maiden name.

As for the kids...
Well, quite certainly you remember Cleo!
And you may also recognize Dora from previous chapters.
The two others are Gabe Teufelsjäger and his girlfriend Dessy Beelzebubson. They're basically a YA fantasy romance story that just so happens in the background. What do you mean, you didn't have one of those in your school? ;-)

The class went to Gernsbeck's rural periphery, and are thus near the town of Bimmsstein and the adjacent US airbase.

So this is some time after Ariane taught Cleo a few things after their return from Pont De La Mort, but I haven't drawn that episodes yet.

While I still haven't nailed down Cleo's exact age yet, by now she's definitely meant to be significantly teenager-ish. (And the same applies to her friend Dora obviously.)
I think that turned out easier to recognize in some of the following pages.

maaaaaaan Jerry Doyle sure as heck had a type...

goes halfway around the world to get away from the family and promptly finds a girl that looks like his mom/sisters/all his other female relatives

(BTW this is an actual thing, statistically speaking)

At least his approach to quench his oedipal desires was a lot more sane than Dr. Morag's...

Gabe Devils-hunter? Reminds me of a bit of an imp from seventh grade. As to Jerry Doyle, would that be the Babylon V actor?

I had mates who'd done duty at Ramstein in the late 1960s and have used pumice blocks on problematic calluses

Yep, your translation is correct!
The idea is that Dessy is half-demon, while Gabe is from a family of demon hunters - it's thus some "Romeo & Juliet" kind of thing.

Lirvilas came up with Jerry's name, so you'd have to ask him if he had the actor in mind.
(However, the first few Doyles he came up with all had given names starting with J, so it's likely that this is just another instance of that.)

Wow! Ramstein --> Bimsstein was just supposed to be a pun, I wasn't aware that there's actually some sort of connection between the real airbase and pumice! :-D
