Though Tarik is insofar correct as the land called
"Asia Minor"
("Little Asia") in Antiquity is where the nation of Turkey is in the modern day.

Asia Minor is late antiquity to medieval. Before that, Anatolia was just called Asia. ;)

Yes, it's often quite interesting how the meaning of words can evolve.
As far as I know, when the term "Asia" got expanded to mean the whole continent, the land now known as Anatolia had to be called "Asia Minor" for further clarification.
