Motion capture.

Even though Brian seems to be rather averse to using digital effects in his own movies, he nevertheless keeps himself informed about the state of the art in his business.

And I think... Tiny just had an epiphany...

I've heard less alarming business names before.

I actually had to ponder for a moment what you mean...

Oh, yes right, Lightbringer Studios!!

Just one of the many (many) things that got "hijacked" (first by lirvilas, then by me) from ProfEtheric's Autumn Bay-related oeuvre.
(Original source is here!)

And as far as I'm aware, the Lucifer allusion is supposed to be very deliberate.
(The founder's surname is friggin' Morningstar, plus I think ProfEtheric actually confirmed this connection somewhere in a comment once.)

Ah yes, that's! the page/comment I was thinking of!!
Thank you!

BTW, lirv apparently intended Ilsa's surname as a stage name, but I wonder if somebody named "Sturmgød" could be a descendant of this guy via his famous son?
Lots of extraordinary bloodlines working at that movie studio! ;-D

I recall the"lightbringers" as a annoying fundamenalistic fanatic group in an old german roleplaying system predating our webcomics.

I'm assuming that's you, Stilldown?

But yeah, metaphorically "bringing the light" to someone is probably a not an all too uncommon theme.
See: Lucifer, the Illuminati, Prometheus stealing fire from the gods (and similar myths), the very term "enlightenment", and probably much more...

Blame the head of production, goes by the name of Abbadon

@ Damoinion: Not to be confused with Abandon, Lord of Development Hell! ;-)

@ lirv: Oh, if that's the metaphor you prefer to use here, I wonder how you'll call what'll happen in the next page!

Hehehehehehe...

Brian always did strike me as the "practical FX unless we have no choice/budget/time" sort...

So he's the kind of crazy director who would choose to actually flip a real truck...
