Here again that background gag from three strips ago, just a little bit elaborated now.

The Voltaire blunder is sort of an alternate reality version of what gets mentioned in in this "POW! Right in the Nostalgia" strip.

And Gesund is basically one large bilingual pun... ;-)

Start of the next chapter will be in two weeks!
But NEXT week there will be a new comic strip too!

The absurdity of the whole premise of TMNT (which I am a fan of) makes this really funny. To me, the Shuriken Tortoises and their cast could have been the real thing that came out in the 80s and in 2015, you could have come out with your version of it called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with your descriptions of Shredder, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and the rest and things really wouldn't have been all that different. The interchangeability of your parody version and the real thing is what makes this such clever humor. It was very well done! :D

Thank you very much!
(Due to the lack of comments to this page, I have so far been under the impression that this elaborate gag didn't really land...)

BTW, I later found out that I am not the only webcomic writer who got the idea of creating an April O'Neal parody by simply taking another month name and another Gaelic surname.
